Standoff in the forest

Here you see some of the slick new armor created for Legend of the Void Chapter 2 as two warriors face off in a forest glade. What you don’t see is the leaves falling the background really bringing the scene to life. I can’t wait for you all to experience this area in action!

Magical attacks

The foggy hills of Calderia are another venue in which you will fight in Chapter 2. All magi are outfitted with an arcane magical attack as their default skill. Some cool particle effects you’ll have to wait to see in game The small blue orbs above each combatant open the Status Viewer when clicked, showing all of the characters permanent, item, and temporary buffs, as well as any effects such as being burned or poisoned.

The women of Calderia

As promised, Legend of the Void Chapter 2 will contain both female characters and various skin colors. Armor/robes will automatically change to fit the character regardless of their sex. Here you can see a woman being hit with a lightning bolt!

Class specializations

In addition to many new and changed skills added to LOTV2 are extra “specialization” skills which aim to provide various bonuses to their relevant skill trees. The female rogue is performing “Flip Kick”, a skill from the new Ninja tree, the Assassin specialization.

Totally updated animations

Gone are the old “run” animation and slow attacks. Everything has been recreated to provide a quicker, more intense combat experience. Sword swings are brutally quick and spells tear across the battlefield. You may also notice that the camera pans left and right to keep the action more centered on the screen.

A full upgrade

I hope you can see the lengths we have gone to make Legend of the Void Chapter 2 a totally improved game from top to bottom. The armor/weapons you see here are a mere 2% of what is available in game as you progress to level 20. There are ~50 individual background scenes in which you will do combat with a plethora of human foes, not to mention all the undead, demons, Void witches, and more!

In other news, the first beta will be up tonight for a small group of testers (moderators/donators) – Don’t worry if you’re not included! I’ll be adding more and more testers as we go along.
